One of my favorites about grief and oh, so accurate. Until Dominic ran ahead to heaven I would have described myself as largely fearless. Early childhood experiences had made me rather brave in most situations. But this? It brought back that sense I knew as a tiny child when one day I was certain I was lost in the grocery store-abandoned, doomed. Yes, grief feels like fear.

YES, the lost in the store feeling. At first it is terrifying; then, a nice lady comes to help you and you feel better, like there is hope, though you are still quite uneasy. But then, the one you were separated from is there again in front of you, and all is well. You, Melanie have been one of those nice ladies for me. Thank you.
