What Are YOU Afraid Of?

I am not ashamed to admit I am afraid of bears. To me, this is perfectly rational and after more than thirty-four years in Alaska I still can not get used to the idea of not being at the top of the food chain. So when I am fearful or anxious about something or concerned about someone, I sometimes end up dreaming about bears. To me, bears are the embodiment of all things terrifying.

Who Do You Trust?

By definition, God is good and God is love.  Therefore, everything He does is good.  I trust Him on that basis.  I do not trust that He will do what I want or that He will spare me pain.  I trust HIM because He is wise and He loves me.

Precious in the Sight of the Lord

As death overcomes the body and the believer passes into life eternal, in the last moments of grace, is the still small voice of the Lord the last and clearest thing a child of God hears on earth? Is our spiritual receptivity at its peak at this very moment?
