“I chose this verse today because it expresses what I like to think my son may have been thinking in the moments before he left his body for Heaven.
Hans believed on Jesus as his Savior and Redeemer. This means Hans was counting on nothing other than the fact that Jesus shed His blood and died in Hans’ place as payment for his sin. Jesus’ victory over death (when He rose from the dead) is Hans’ guarantee of entrance into Heaven. Therefore sin, death and the grave have no power over Hans. When Jesus comes back, Hans will receive a new, indestructible, (redeemed) body. And then I can finally hug him again.”
