“I chose this verse today because it expresses what I like to think my son may have been thinking in the moments before he left his body for Heaven.  Hans believed on Jesus as his Savior and Redeemer.  This means Hans was counting on nothing other than Jesus’ victory over death (at the resurrection) for forgiveness of sin and entrance into Heaven.  Therefore sin, death and the grave have no power over him. When Jesus comes back, Hans will receive a new, indestructible, (redeemed) body and then I can finally hug him again.”
