Greater

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.
Psalm 145:3

Our future joy is greater than our present pain.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2 Corinthians 4:17

God’s peace is greater than the world’s peace.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
John 14:27

The rewards for patience in affliction are greater than any relief experienced after murmuring under the rod.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12

The blessings of mercies which are prayed for are greater than “common blessings unsought in prayer.” (Spurgeon)

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain,
whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
Psalm 68:9

Delayed blessings are greater than instant answers.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work,
that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:2-4

God’s strength is greater than my weakness.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities,
in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

The love of those who have been forgiven much is greater than the love of those who have been forgiven little.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
Luke 7:47

Eternal life in Jesus is greater than death.

Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:54-57

He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4

God’s grace is greater than all my sin.

But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Romans 5:20
